Today the heart of Dockery Farms is still intact. Five of the six original buildings that made up the commercial center of the plantation are all part of the Dockery Farms historic site. The sign on the Seed House (pictured left) is recognized world-wide as a symbol of American Blues music. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. Today the site hosts a small number of private tours, lectures, and events in partnership with the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, Delta State University, and other academic and cultural institutions. |
